Job summary

BD, a global medical technology leader, is seeking a quality-focused professional to oversee quality for a product line at our Columbus, Nebraska facility. You will drive to completion, participate in audits, and develop root-cause investigations and CAPA plans.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in engineering and 0–5 years’ experience in a quality/technical role; pharma/biotech/medical device background is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position in USA NE - Columbus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Engineering required; fields include Applied, Automotive, Computer/Information, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Process or Project Engineering.
• 0–5 years’ experience in a quality/technical role.
• Pharma, Biotech or Medical Device manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Quality needs for a product line across multiple processes.

• Develop understanding of validation system and assist in validations.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Oversees Quality needs for a product line across multiple processes.
• Assist and/or manage plant projects and drive to completion.
• Participate in audits as process and quality systems.
• Develop Root cause investigation and CAPA experience.
• Develop an understanding of the validation system and assist in validations.
• Conduct Measurement System Analysis.
• Conduct diagnostic and statistical analysis of methods, equipment and materials to improve product quality, process reliability and cost.
• Assist in meeting plant team plans for cost and quality improvement, operating within department budget guidelines.
• Demonstrate ability to make consistent and data driven decisions.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
• Completion of projects on time and on budget.
• Complete investigations and validations.

This position does not supervise any associates on any level

Minimum Education

Education and Experience

• Required: BA/BS Degree: Engineering: Applied, Automotive, Computer/Information, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Process or Project Engineering

Minimum Experience

• 0-5 years’ experience working in a quality / technical role.
• Experience at a Pharma, Biotech or Medical Device manufacturer preferred.
