Job summary

A manufacturing services provider in Cedar Rapids seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and maintain quality assurance processes within the Fabrication Departments. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 5+ years in manufacturing or quality engineering. Strong knowledge of quality tools and Lean Manufacturing experience are essential. The candidate will work on continuous improvement and quality audits in a full-time position.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in manufacturing or quality engineering function.
  • Injection molding experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes within the Fabrication Departments. Throughout the implementation and maintenance process, this candidate should use data analysis to better understand quality reporting measures and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5+ years\' in manufacturing or quality engineering function
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools used in the industry
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
  • Understanding of ISO/IATF/AS QMS standards
  • Lean Manufacturing experience required
  • Injection molding experience highly preferred
