Quality Engineer - 18842
Description
SUMMARY:
Designs and installs quality control processes, sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. Designs specific testing mechanisms, equipment and devices. May train hourly, exempt, and non-exempt staff in quality applications. Partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to design quality into production processes, drives root cause analysis and corrective action for internally-generated nonconformances. This is the QE focus area most embedded on the shop floor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, experience & professional accreditation as a quality engineer by an appropriate authority. Experience in lean manufacturing preferred.
