Job summary

Cannon Automotive Solutions - Bowling Green Inc. in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Quality Engineer to analyze manufacturing stages and drive improvements to product quality.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of supervisory or related work experience in a manufacturing/ production environment.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • Ability to retain information and communicate effectively, both written and oral.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work a 3‑shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT.

  • Develop, implement, and participate in training to build/improve quality awareness among new and existing employees.

  • Analyze failures and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution of all customer concerns/complaints.
  • Plan, organize, and maintain quality documentation.
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct internal/external audits.
  • Evaluate and examine the company’s product specifications to meet customer requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, offers a Quality Engineer position at the Bowling Green, Kentucky Stamping Facility. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing stages to maximize product quality, planning preventative strategies, and correcting non-conformances.

Responsibilities

Oversee root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process/product related concerns.

Enhance the Quality System with continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, Kaizen, and lean methods.

Develop, implement, and participate in training to build/improve quality awareness among new and existing employees.

Coach, mentor, and support a team of Quality Inspectors.

Analyze failures and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution of all customer concerns/complaints.

Minimum Qualifications
