Anderson Dahlen Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead QA efforts and collaborate with suppliers to uphold high standards. Located in Ramsey, MN, the role focuses on quality improvement, defect analysis, and documentation within a precision fabrication environment.

The position emphasizes working with cross-functional teams to implement CAPA plans, maintain QMS, and ensure safety and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ASME/AWS/PED standards.

Competenze

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $82,000 to $115,000 annually.

Primary Objective Of The Position

Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding product quality issues; develop and document Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions. Facilitate development of procedures and processes, facilitate customer SCAR’s and CAPA’s, and develop improvement plans based on data collected. Provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples.

Major Areas Of Accountability

• Lead QA efforts in customer-facing issues and projects.
• Perform supplier audits in accordance with QMS.
• Execute improvement plans based on customer surveys and SCAR/CAPA
• Work with internal teams to drive operational improvements.
• Collaborate with team members in writing process work instructions.
• Assist in managing the calibration program.
• Follow all company safety protocols.
• Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential defects as early as possible.
• Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability.
• Identify the root cause of technical issues and recommend fixes.
• Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions (e.g., number of defective raw materials per order)
• Set and track quality assurance goals (e.g., reduce average turnaround time for quality checks by 20%)
• Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure compliance.
• Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications for Entry

• Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Good understanding of technical writing and documentation
• Good interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with statistical analysis
• Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Good analytical skills
• Bachelor’s degree in ME or IE or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or process improvement
• Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.
