Job summary

A recruiting agency is seeking a Quality Engineer based in North Carolina. Responsibilities include leading corrective action meetings, analyzing capability data, and developing gages and control plans for quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in Engineering and experience with GD&T and Measurement System Analysis (MSA). Qualifications

Job description

Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will work directly with suppliers, customers, and all areas of the production process to ensure product quality meets or exceeds specifications as determined by drawings or the customer.

Responsibilities
  • Create, develop, and/or request gages for new launch and corrective action activities
  • Create and/or develop programs for measurement systems
  • Lead corrective action activity meetings
  • Create and/or develop control plans
  • Review PPAP materials
  • Analyze data from capability studies
  • Create and/or develop gage plans (IPGR)
  • Provide feedback for new launch process reviews
  • Carry out APQP 1st run set up approvals
  • Create and/or develop receiving/dock inspection criteria
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues
  • Create and/or develop standard work instructions
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Communicate with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate commitment to the company Quality Management system and Objectives.
Requirements
  • 4-year degree in Engineering preferred or related education and 2- 3 years of related experience preferred
  • Experience with GD&T, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) preferred
  • Experience with APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, Process Capability preferred
  • Experience working with metal casting, machining, and/or assembly preferred
