Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Company seeks a student intern to support Assembly Test, Finish, Rework, and New Model Launch areas with data analytics, software tooling, and process improvements. You will collaborate with quality and planning teams to enhance transparency of the quality landscape, launch processes, and vehicle/info flow.

You will develop dashboards, problem-management tools, and simulation models, while gaining hands-on experience in AI applications and data analysis within a cutting-edge

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, computer, mechanical, or industrial fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, Macros, PivotTables) preferred.
• Experience with Python, SQL, or similar for data manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Must be an enrolled US student with at least 30 credit hours completed.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours/week).
• Must attach unofficial transcript and pass a substance abuse test.
• Work term dates: January 11–May 14, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support quality analytics and KPI-focused problem solving; develop clearer data displays.
• Develop software tools to optimize vehicle flow and defect documentation.
• Assist in production, testing, and finishing for New Vehicle Launch processes.
• Create dashboards to visualize launch progress in Plant 10.
• Prepare process sheets for problem management and data quality actions.
• Develop tools to simulate process changes and test impact on flow and delivery.
• Advance AI applications in Test, Finish, and Vehicle Launch areas.
• Explore innovations for vehicle and information flow, including routing.
