Your Job

Our Owosso Michigan location is seeking a Quality Coordinator to support manufacturing of corrugated containers

Our Team Our Georgia Pacific Team is one of the nation’s leading corrugated box manufactures. We manufacture standard corrugated containers providing cost effective corrugated solutions for virtually any product

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate, perform, and maintain calibration procedures
  • Provide quality systems training and assistance to employees in quality decisions and measurement techniques
  • Complete capability studies and gauge R&R analysis
  • Prepare appropriate inspection records and measurement reports
  • Perform inventory transactions for acceptable and non-conforming product and properly document

Supporting integration of quality systems and ensuring product quality and safety compliance

  • Collaborate with teams to improve customer satisfaction and supplier performance
  • Lead/manufacturing support for Product Quality & Safety compliance
  • Conduct data analysis (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with safety and quality policies
  • Participate in customer engagement and site visits
  • Own testing and quality systems for plant equipment
  • Assist in driving overall customer experience improvements
  • Process Monitoring & Audits: Conduct process audits, follow structured quality schedules, and ensure equipment calibration.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve quality issues, and use root-cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with production, maintenance, and supervisory teams; train operators on quality standards and inspection methods; participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Administrative & Computer Skills: Maintain inspection records, generate quality reports, and use Microsoft Office and plant systems for data analysis and reporting.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Prior quality experience OR Military experience

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field
  • Measurement experience using Calipers, Micrometers, CMM or Visions Systems
  • Experience working in an manufacturing environment
