Job summary

Campbell's in Bloomfield, CT, is seeking a quality assurance professional to perform daily QA factory audits, respond to food safety incidents, and manage SAP-based inventories on the 3rd shift. The role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s in Food Science preferred, and 1–3 years in manufacturing or food safety.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected. Starting pay is $31.00 per hour, with overtime as needed; company benefits include health, dental, 401(k) and wellness

Responsibilities

• Daily QA factory audit and process verification
• First point of contact to respond to all Food Safety and Quality incidents on off shifts
• Track and process finished product holds and dispositions using SAP warehouse inventory management system.
• Process vendor non-conformances in SAP
• Assist with analytical testing.
• Support the environmental swab program and laboratory testing.
• Analytical Instruments and Equipment verification, maintenance & calibration
• Verification of records (FS Process Controls, Quality Points, ext.)
• Filing and management quality records
• Maintain electronic quality data, support in trending and analyzing data.
• Daily product evaluation setup and lead product evaluation.
• Support quality and food safety training
• Other duties as assigned to support all QA Dept. roles in managing Food Safety and Quality systems

LOCATION: Bloomfield, Connecticut

BASE RATE PER HOUR: $31.00

SHIFT: 3rd

HOURS: Generally, starts as early as 10 PM with overtime on an as needed basis based on business needs. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily QA factory audit and process verification

First point of contact to respond to all Food Safety and Quality incidents on off shifts

Track and process finished product holds and dispositions using SAP warehouse inventory management system.

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma or Equivalent is required

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, or related field, is preferred

1-3 years previous manufacturing, quality or food safety experience is preferred

Must have knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Work Conditions:

8-12 Hour shift, overtime required. Weekdays, weekends, and holidays may be required. Employees will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one-half hour lunch break.

Environment – Noise levels will be high; temperature will be climate controlled in some areas and equal to ambient temperature in other areas. Lighting is sufficient and floors can be slippery.

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $31.00.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
