Job summary

Hi-Pro Feeds USA, part of Trouw Nutrition in the Nutreco group, is seeking a Quality Coordinator to lead quality and food safety programs across its US locations. You will work with Operations, Sales, Nutrition, and Laboratory teams to ensure products meet Nutreco standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has a degree in animal or food science and at least two years in QA/QC, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Agricultural Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2+ years of QA/QC or related experience.
• Knowledge of livestock nutrition, food safety, feed milling, manufacturing, or agriculture is an asset.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong math skills and understanding of the metric system.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10% between locations.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality and food safety programs across Hi-Pro Feeds USA locations.
• Ensure products and manufacturing processes meet customer expectations, Nutreco standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities, conduct audits and inspections, coordinate laboratory testing programs.
• Investigate quality issues, administer mock recalls and recalls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support protect feed safety, product consistency, and customer confidence while aligning with the Feeding the Future purpose.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Coordinator, you will own the quality and food safety programs across Hi-Pro Feeds USA locations, ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet customer expectations, Nutreco standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements. Working closely with Operations, Sales, Nutrition, Procurement, Customer Service, HSE, Finance, and Laboratory teams, you will coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities, conduct audits and inspections, coordinate laboratory testing programs, investigate quality issues, administer mock recalls and recalls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll also need
