Job summary

Bosch in Fountain Inn, SC invites a quality engineering co-op who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field to support product quality during development and manufacturing.

You will analyze data with Excel and Power BI, assist in PFMEA, control plans, and gaging, and help drive process improvements. You’ll collaborate with Design and Process Engineering and work on-site from January to May.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design and Process Engineering to support product quality during development.
• Assist in implementing PFMEA, control plans, gaging, and other quality tools.
• Contribute to multi-layered quality systems across manufacturing processes.
• Support investigations of customer complaints and identify root causes with corrective actions.
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Job description

Your tasks

• Work closely with Design Engineering during development of product design to safeguard quality of products
• Work with Process Engineering utilizing PFMEA, Control Plans, Gaging and other tools to produce products that meet quality standards this includes development of new processes as well as improvement of existing processes.
• Implement and support multi-layered system to confirm Quality during all aspects of manufacturing
• Lead investigations into customer complaints to identify source of complaint and work with internal stakeholders to identify root cause and develop corrective actions (8D, Shainin, 5WHY, etc.)
• Use data analytics tools to identify trends and potential areas of improvement

Your profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, TPM) is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work on-site in Fountain Inn, United States
• Need to be available for co-op duration from January-May.
