Job summary

Polynt Group in Ohio is seeking a Lab Technician to support Color and Quality Control and the QA function. You will perform QA tests on every batch and enter results into SAP before shipping.

You will follow directions from supervisors, ensure safety and housekeeping, comply with PPE, and participate in quality meetings and continuous improvement efforts to meet plant and corporate goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Computer literacy required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA tests per the test methods on every batch and enter QA data into SAP before shipping feedback.
• Follow directions from Senior Production Supervisor and Production Leads on batch priorities and urgency.
• Adhere to Quality directives from the Research Department.
• Communicate quality/safety concerns to QA Supervisor/Lead or another supervisor when unavailable.
• Maintain lab housekeeping and ensure safety and quality work environment; comply with PPE requirements.
• Submit improvement suggestions to supervisor or via suggestion box.
• Support and strive to meet Plant and Corporate goals as provided by Director of Manufacturing and Site Manager.
• Participate in plant meetings including PACT/HSE, general plant meetings, training sessions, and Quarterly Quality Review.
• Maintain procedures and practices required to sustain ISO certification.

The Lab Technician reports directly to the Q.A. Supervisor / Lead. This position is responsible to complete tasks for Color and Quality Control and for the overall performance of the Q.A. function.

The Lab Technician reports directly to the Q.A. Supervisor / Lead. This position is responsible to complete tasks for Color and Quality Control and for the overall performance of the Q.A. function.

Duties

• Makes sure that all required QA tests are performed per the test methods, on every batch. This QC information is to be entered into the SAP system before the product feedback is done for shipping. Paperwork is to be complete and accurate.
• Follow directions from the Senior Production Supervisor and Production Leads, on which batches are hot and need to be completed as soon as possible.
• Follow the Quality directives set by the Research Department.
• Communicate all quality/safety concerns to the Q.A. Supervisor / Lead or another supervisor if the Q.A. Supervisor is unavailable.
• Ensure that the housekeeping and appearance of the lab is acceptable and sufficient to promote safety and quality work.
• Complies with all PPE requirements.
• Makes improvement suggestions to a supervisor or puts them in the suggestion box.
• Responsible to support and strive to meet Plant and Corporate Goals as provided by the Director of Manufacturing and the Site Manager.
• Participates in various plant meetings. Including but not limited to PACT/HSE, general plant meetings, training sessions, and Quarterly Quality Review meetings.
