Job summary

Enterprise Ventures Corporation (EVC) is seeking a Quality Control Technician II to inspect, test, and verify materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet standards and contract requirements. This role requires the ability to work independently on complex tasks while supporting safety, security, and quality initiatives.

The position emphasizes collaboration with manufacturing, development, and engineering teams to resolve issues and maintain quality records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus additional technical coursework required.
  • Considerable directly related technical work experience.
  • Skill in using a variety of standard tools and laboratory equipment.

  • Verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
  • Identify nonconforming material, initiate NPRs, and support corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, development, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain quality system compliance.
  • Occasionally interact with external customers for review of deliveries (DCMA).

The Quality Control Technician II is a position that is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying materials, processes, and finished products to ensure they meet established standards, contract requirements, and internal quality procedures. This position requires technical expertise and the ability to work independently on complex assignments. The role emphasizes innovation, quality, and collaboration to ensure operational readiness and reliability and contributing to organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform incoming, in process, and final inspections on chemical products, parts, assemblies, and raw materials in a lab and shop environment.
  • Verify conformance to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
  • Identify nonconforming material, initiate NPRs, and support corrective action processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, development, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain quality system compliance.
  • Occasionally interact with external customers for review of deliveries (DCMA).
Safety, Compliance, and Security
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, including DoD contractor policies.
  • Participate in safety training initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Maintain security clearance requirements and follow all protocols for handling sensitive information and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with chemists, engineers, supervisors, and stakeholders to report progress, issues, and recommendations.
Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Regularly or frequently talking, hearing, touching, grasping, standing, walking, reaching with hands/arms and performing repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement.
  • Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, ability to identify and distinguish colors, and ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus to review test results, perform testing of CSTRS, install strain gage, view PC screen, read technical manuals, calibration of machines and equipment, adjust equipment, use measuring devices, microscopes, etc.
  • Concentrated attention to precisely weigh samples and chemicals, run tests and make adjustments while in progress, calibrate equipment, write reports, operate analytical equipment, etc.
  • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagrammatic, or schedule form.
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills to deal with mathematical relationships, algebra, geometry, and shop math (i.e. fractions, percentages, proportions, slide rule, etc.)
  • Intermediate reading and writing skills.
  • This position is safety sensitive.
  • Frequently works near fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally works outdoors, has to wear a respirator, works with toxic or caustic chemicals, works in non-weather humid conditions, or works near moving mechanical parts.
