Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Quality Technician II to ensure aggregate and HMA materials meet internal and external quality standards. You will support best practices in quality, production, delivery, and placement while collaborating with operations, dispatch, estimators, and project management.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of QC testing in HMA or related industry
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, CALTRANS standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers in diverse environments

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety policies are followed in daily tasks.
• Prioritize environmental compliance and act as steward to the environment.
• Perform tasks according to ASTM, AASHTO, CALTRANS, and Martin Marietta standards.
• Collaborate with plant operations to monitor moisture, cleanliness, and uniformity of aggregates and HMA.
• Communicate quality concerns and educate customers on HMA placement and compaction techniques.
• Assist with raw material sampling schedules and reporting daily HMA test results.
• Occasional lab work and participation in lab projects and mix designs.
• Maintain a lab/test logbook and record HMA observations.
