Job summary

LKQ Corporation in Texas is seeking motivated individuals to join our warehouse team. You will clean parts, inspect items for quality, and communicate any discrepancies with sales reps. You will also prepare items for shipment, wrap and box parts, and load semi-trailers at LKQ facilities using a forklift.

The role requires basic computer skills and physical stamina. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, forklift experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 75–100 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to operate basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Clean parts – buffing small parts, power washing drive train, cleaning panels with soap and water.
  • Inspect parts – verify description and quality match inventory.
  • Communicate with sales reps regarding discrepancies in quality or inventory.
  • Prepare for shipment – wrap and box parts securely.
  • Load semi-trailers to LKQ facilities using fork truck.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!Clean, inspect, and prepare safely LKQ products for shipment and delivery of high-quality parts to our customers.Essential Job DutiesClean parts – buffing small parts, power washing drive train, cleaning panels with soap and water.|Inspect parts – matching description and quality to how it was inventoried.Communicate with sales reps – Using email and/or phone to describe any discrepancies in quality or inventory of the part.Prepare for shipment – protect all small parts with bubble wrap and place them in a cardboard box, wrap bumpers with a protective cover, and place doors in racks divided by foam pads.Load semi-trailers going to other LKQ facilities – prepare racks with panels and small parts to be loaded on semi-trailers via a fork truck.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Basic QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Preferred QualificationsForklift experience.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesBasic computer skills.Able to identify most car parts.Essential Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. On occasions, an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
