Eos Energy Storage is looking for a Quality Control Technician to ensure all products meet quality specifications. Responsibilities include inspecting products, maintaining quality records, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate requires a high school diploma, 2 years of experience, and strong attention to detail.
This role is set in a factory environment with exposure to mechanical hazards, requiring safety equipment. Candidates who can demonstrate effective communication skills and proficiency with precision measuring instruments are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include performing all duties in a safe manner consistent with company safety rules. Inspect goods or products according to quality specifications and safety standards, collate test or production data, providing summary tables and routine quality reports. Disposition suspect product as scrap, rework, or approved. Notify supervisor when quality, test, and inspection data exceed acceptable limits or when incidents of poor quality are noted. Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control and quality system work processes, make recommendations to Manager regarding observations and findings, develop and maintain quality records and metrics, ensure goods and products comply with company standards, record and administer quality documents such as quality specifications, forms, and instructions, assist in internal, third party, and customer audits, support operation and coordination of calibration on all testing devices, assist with testing of supplier samples and special inspections, and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of established quality policy, procedures, and instructions.
High school diploma or GED required; 2‑year trade school degree/diploma preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting reports and collating data. Background in R&D or manufacturing environment a plus. Computer skills required; familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
Factory setting; local travel <10%. Exposure to mechanical hazards, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, temperature changes, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dust, mists, gases, and loud noise. Requires use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats. May need to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
Effective oral communication with co‑workers and supervisors; ability to understand and quickly react to job‑related oral and written directions and safety information.
