Job summary

MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in construction chemicals, seeks a Quality Control Technician in the US. You will perform chemistry lab tests, set up experiments, and support the manufacturing quality function to ensure process quality.

You will prepare test samples, investigate outliers, and record results while collaborating with production leadership. The role requires safety discipline and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Chemicals/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficient with computers.
  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness for overtime and shift hours.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform various tests on raw materials and finished products.
  • Identify and investigate abnormal test results and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and record documents reporting lab results.
  • Collaborate with local operations and production leadership teams.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Job description

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. As a Quality Control Technician at MAPEI, you will use your chemistry lab skills to perform tests, set up experiments, and collaborate across the manufacturing quality function. Your focus will be on testing and monitoring quality standards in the production process, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with the team to meet production goals.

  • Prepare and perform various tests samples on raw materials and finished products.
  • Identify and investigate abnormal test results, conducting root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and record documents that report the results of lab work.
  • Work closely with local operations with a specific emphasis in supporting the production leadership teams.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Position Specific Details:

  • Base hourly payrate from $20.15-$21.79 p/hr, based on experience.
  • Additional premium shift differential: $1.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and $2.00 p/hr for 3rd shift, if applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on work willingness and mechanical inclination.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Industry experience within chemicals and/or manufacturing strongly preferred
  • You should be proficient and comfortable with computers.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Flexibility for overtime and shift hours required.
