Job summary

MAPEI Corporation in Garland, TX is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our chemistry lab team. You will test raw materials and finished products, document results, and support production leadership to meet quality goals.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, comfort with computers, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Overtime and shift work are required. Competitive pay with shift differentials, solid benefits, and a 401(k) plan are offered.

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. As a Quality Control Technician at MAPEI, you will use your chemistry lab skills to perform tests, set up experiments, and collaborate across the manufacturing quality function. Your focus will be on testing and monitoring quality standards in the production process, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with the team to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and perform various tests samples on raw materials and finished products.
• Identify and investigate abnormal test results, conducting root cause analysis.
• Prepare and record documents that report the results of lab work.
• Work closely with local operations with a specific emphasis in supporting the production leadership teams.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Position Specific Details:

• Base hourly pay rate between $20.25 and $20.81 p/hr, based on experience.
• Additional premium shift differential: $1.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and $2.00 p/hr for 3rd shift, if applicable.

• Industry experience within chemicals and/or manufacturing strongly preferred
