Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to transport and unload materials using a flatbed. You will work closely with dispatch, ensure safe loading and on-time deliveries, and maintain accurate records and customer relationships.

The role requires a CDL-A, at least 2 years of CDL experience, and a focus on safety. Bi-lingual and forklift certification are a plus, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL-A license required with flatbed experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL-A driving experience, flatbed a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials to job sites safely and timely.
• Assist and supervise truck loading to ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Receive invoices/directions from dispatcher and follow instructions.
• Maintain DOT logs, fuel receipts, and delivery paperwork per regulations.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report any issues.
• Obtain signatures and return paperwork to shipping department.
• Document routine maintenance of truck and loading equipment.
• Unload cargo at job site in the safest available area.
• Develop knowledge of inventory, sizes, colors, and pallet packaging.
• Monitor product quality and customer satisfaction, report issues promptly.

Job Summary

This job is responsible for the delivery and pick up of products and materials with a flatbed.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport construction material to job site in a safe and timely manner
• Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution
• Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
• Maintain complete and accurate records such as DOT drivers' daily logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation and any other required documents according to state and federal regulations
• Build and maintain good customer relationships
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problems
• Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping department
• Provide and document proper routine maintenance of assigned truck and loading/unloading equipment
• Survey job site and unload cargo in the best area available in a safe manner
• Develop very good knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors, and pallet package
• Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent
• Experience with Moffett
• CDL A required
• Must have at least 2 years of experience operating a CDL A vehicle - flatbed is a plus
• Detailed oriented and good communication skills a plus
• Must be at least 24 years of age
• Must have a clean driving record
• Forklift certified a plus
• Bi-lingual is a plus
