Job Summary:

The Quality Control Tech is responsible for ensuring the vinyl records are in good condition through visual and listening inspections.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Verify all component numbers are correct on the record's etching.
2. Perform visual inspection of labels:
   • Ensure labels are correct and on the right side of the record.
   • Ensure labels are not cracked, wet, or doubled.
3. Perform visual inspection of records:
   • Check for warping, cupping, jagged/sharp edges.
   • Look for dimples, scratches, scuffs, or stains.
   • Verify vinyl color is correct.
4. Conduct listening inspections:
   • Ensure there are no pops, cracks, or skips in the dead space between songs and at the beginning and end of each record.
5. Notify Manager/Supervisor if any components are incorrect or if records have defects.
6. Complete necessary inspector forms.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
8. Perform other duties within the department as assigned.
9. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
