Job summary

Produce Innovations/Loffredo Fresh Foods in Norwalk, IA seeks a Quality Control Tech to oversee inspections throughout the production process and ensure finished product quality. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, label accuracy, sanitation, GMPs, training adherence, and adherence to HACCP standards.

Position involves placing products on hold when necessary and communicating quality concerns to Production and Quality Management.

Qualifications

• Experience with HACCP standards and GMPs.
• Knowledge of label verification and sanitation.
• Ability to follow SOPs and communicate quality concerns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections related to food production: finished product quality, regulatory, label verification, routine sanitation, employee GMPs, training compliance and HACCP compliance. Place product on hold as necessary.
• Communicate product quality issues to Production Management and Quality Management.
• Provide quality support in all aspects of the plant’s quality functions in compliance with facility and government regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), good manufacturing practices (GMPs), and company safety policies.
• Inspects all phases of plant production operations to ensure overall quality of finished product.
• Respectfully support and follow direction from management and completes tasks with minimum supervision.
• All other duties as assigned

What you’ll do:
