Job summary

Wilbert’s, a family-owned automotive recycling company in Webster, NY, is seeking an entry-level Quality Control Tech. The role supports quality processes with data entry, documentation, and record-keeping for QC. You will verify parts, assist with inventory, and ensure packaging and handling meet standards.

The position is non-exempt with a 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM shift and comprehensive benefits. Prior automotive exposure helps, but training is provided on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
• Forklift certification available; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicates and resolves discrepancies from customer orders.
• Prepare parts for storage and shipment with proper packaging to prevent damage.
• Verify part condition against orders using damage locators.
• Assist with inventory audits or handling returns.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Quality Control Tech(Entry Level)

Department: Quality Control/Warehouse/Inventory

Reports To : Quality Control Manager

Status: Non-Exempt

Shift:9am-5:30pm

Description: The QC Tech assists in ensuring products or services meet established quality standards by performing administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and record-keeping related to quality control processes.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Effectively communicates and resolves any discrepancies from the customer’s order

specifications.

Prepares parts/merchandise for storage and/or shipment using proper bagging, tagging,

wrapping and packaging to prevent damage.

Verifies part condition and damage against order using ARA damage locators as it

relates to inspecting merchandise and maintaining quality control.

Assist with tasks such as inventory audits or handling returns.

Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.

Certificates and Licenses:

Forklift certification. Training and certification available.
