The position requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills and ability to keep simple records are needed, along with forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0+ years of related experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• May read and interpret graphs and respond to simple data.

Responsibilities

• Clean parts by buffing, washing and cleaning panels.
• Inspect parts to match description and inventory.
• Communicate discrepancies to sales reps via email or phone.
• Prepare parts for shipment with protective packaging.
• Load semi-trailers for transport to LKQ facilities using a fork truck.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Apply now and take the first step toward a rewarding career!Clean, inspect, and prepare safely LKQ products for shipment and delivery of high-quality parts to our customers.Essential Job DutiesClean parts – buff small parts, power wash the drive train, and clean panels with soap and water. Inspect parts – matching description and quality to how they were inventoried.Communicate with sales reps – Using email and/or phone to describe any discrepancies in quality or inventory of the part.Prepare for shipment – protect all small parts with bubble wrap and place them in a cardboard box, wrap bumpers with a protective cover, and place doors in racks divided by foam pads.Load semi-trailers going to other LKQ facilities – prepare racks with panels and small parts to be loaded on semi-trailers via a fork truck.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Basic QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.0+ years of related experience required.Preferred QualificationsForklift experience.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics.Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines for how to complete work activities; works closely with supervisor/manager who provides broad guidance and overall direction.Prioritize assigned and routine tasks.
