Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor in Irwindale, California, responsible for supervising a team of laboratory technicians and maintaining quality control processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

This position involves physical testing, safety protocols, and various analytical responsibilities in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach others.
• Accurate and timely with data analysis and reports.
• Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises a team of hourly Laboratory Technicians.
• Reviews QC data daily and reports discrepancies to the Chief Chemist.
• Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of QC-related analytical equipment.
• Generates and tracks equipment repair requests and purchases departmental supplies.
