Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Telford, PA is seeking a QC Supervisor to ensure compliance with PADOT, NPCA and ACPA and to drive quality across multiple products. You will work closely with engineering and plant management to implement new techniques and develop SOPs and training methods.

The role requires organization, self-motivation, and strong communication and managerial skills to lead a team and uphold high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality experience, preferably in precast concrete.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Certification from local DOT and/or national committees (NPCA, ACPA, ACI, or PCI) or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Basic math skills to calculate dimensions, weights, and volumes.
• Associate degree or equivalent education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant QC technicians.
• Perform pre-pour inspections on product (dimensions, reinforcement size/location, inserts, lifting devices, block-outs).
• Perform post-pour inspections to ensure readiness for customer.
• Track customer complaints and major defects, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Represent the customer inside the factory.
• Test concrete and raw materials as needed.
• Lead QC meetings and follow up on Corrective Actions.
• Ensure all documentation is organized and complete.
• Coordinate with production on schedule changes and errors.
• Assist in conducting QA audits.
• Train plant employees on precast concrete technology and QC requirements.

Job Summary

The QC Supervisor is a vital position for OI’s success by ensuring all of our plant in Telford PA is in compliance with PADOT, NPCA and ACPA requirements. The QC Supervisor is responsible for achieving the at most score(s) in internal and external audits, maintaining top notch quality for our products, training our personnel, and preparing them for success. The QC Supervisor will be working closely with the engineering manager and plant manager to implement new techniques and to develop SOP and training methods. QC Supervisors are individuals that are highly organized, self-motivative, and exhibit meticulous attention to details for multiple products in a short period. The QC Supervisor must have excellent communication and managerial skills.

Job Location

This position is based in our plant in Telford, PA.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage plant QC technicians
• Perform pre-pour inspections on product prior to pouring (product dimensions, reinforcement size and location, inserts and lifting devices, block-outs ...etc.)
• Perform post-pour inspections on product ensuring it is ready for the customer.
• Tracking of customer complaints and major defects to include root cause analysis and correction measures.
• Represent the customer inside our factory.
• Test Concrete and raw materials as needed.
• Lead QC meetings and follow up on Corrective Actions.
• Ensure all documentation is organized and complete.
• Coordinate with production on all schedule changes and errors.

• Train plant employees on precast concrete technology and QC requirements.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Quality experience; preferably in precast concrete (Wet or Dry cast), and minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Construction experience a plus.
• have good Microsoft office skills.
• Must have Certification(s) from local DOT and/or national committees (NPCA, ACPA, ACI, or PCI) or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of how to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Basic Mathematical skills to calculate dimensions, weights, and volumes.

• Associate degree or equivalent education; or equivalent in years of related experience or training preferred.
