Job summary

Air Transport Services Group in Tampa is seeking a Quality/Inspection Supervisor to lead inspection personnel, ensuring all inspections are performed correctly and records are properly completed for return to service.

The role requires a post-secondary education with FAA A&P license, 3+ years in supervision in Quality/maintenance, 3+ years in inspection, ability to obtain NDI certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Commitments to safety and accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise all inspection personnel in the Quality Department. Ensure inspections are properly performed and records are correctly executed.
• Manage the collection and repair orders and inspection forms for articles processed at the repair station.
• Ensure inspector activities comply with repair manuals, service bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist and supervise all inspection personnel assigned to the Quality Department. Ensure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is returned to service and that inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are correctly executed.
• Manage the collection and repair orders and inspection forms pertaining to articles processed at the repair station.
• Ensure that inspector’s activities are in compliance with repair manuals, service bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb, walk, and crawl in confined spaces.
• Correctable vision to 20/20.
• Ability to visually discriminate quality from defective workmanship.
