Job summary

SGP Recruiting is seeking an experienced Quality Control Site Supervisor for a Virginia Beach, VA project. The role coordinates with the Project Manager, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security standards, while keeping the schedule and budget on track.

The position requires experience in commercial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a focus on delivering a high-value product on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred but not required.
• Government contracting experience preferred but not required.
• Five years of management and project development experience in Design-Build construction.
• Strong background in managing large commercial construction projects.
• Ability to manage a multi million-dollar project portfolio with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism and deliver courteous, superior service.
• Understand commercial construction industry practices and standards.
• Coordinate resources, scheduling, and staff/sub-contractors; manage change orders.
• Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance.
• Prepare and submit daily logs/reports; manage contract documentation and payments.
• Communicate project progress to the Project Manager and meet deadlines.
• Liaise with Federal, State, and Municipal authorities on permits and inspections.
