Job summary

Premier PV is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the site Quality organization and ensure ISO 9001 compliance across operations. The role drives corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement while partnering with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of manufacturing quality experience, 3+ years in leadership, and strong communication skills to influence senior leadership and maintain training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience leading internal and external audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives and quality metrics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with root cause analysis and corrective action capabilities.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and quality reporting.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site Quality function and supervise quality staff.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per ISO 9001.
  • Establish site quality objectives, metrics, and initiatives.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve quality.
  • Lead audits with internal, external, customer, and certification bodies.
  • Oversee nonconformance and root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to drive quality improvements.
  • Report quality performance to senior leadership.
  • Develop and implement quality policies and standards.
  • Support supplier quality initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Champion continuous improvement focusing on defect reduction and process capability.
  • Analyze quality trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor quality staff and maintain training programs.

Job Overview: Quality Manager The Quality Manager leads the site Quality organization and is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, customer expectations, regulatory standards, and internal quality objectives while supporting operational excellence across the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the overall site Quality function, including Quality Supervisors, Quality Analysts, and inspection personnel
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 standards
  • Establish site quality objectives, metrics, and strategic initiatives aligned with business goals
  • Drive corrective and preventive action programs to improve product quality and operational performance
  • Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits
  • Oversee nonconformance management, root cause investigations, and corrective action effectiveness
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to drive quality improvements across the organization
  • Lead Management Review activities and quality performance reporting for senior leadership
  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards to ensure product compliance and consistency
  • Support supplier quality initiatives, including supplier performance monitoring and corrective action activities
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, process capability, and customer satisfaction
  • Analyze quality trends and data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Coach, develop, and mentor Quality Supervisors and team members to strengthen organizational capability
  • Ensure quality training programs are maintained and effectively implemented throughout the facility
  • Serve as the primary site quality representative for customer interactions and escalations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 7+ years of progressive quality experience within a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience leading internal and external audits and regulatory compliance activities
  • Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement initiatives and quality performance metrics
  • Strong problem-solving skills utilizing root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Experience with statistical analysis, quality reporting, and quality performance indicators
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar ASQ certification
  • Experience within solar manufacturing, renewable energy, electrical products, metal fabrication, or related industries
  • Knowledge of supplier quality management and quality engineering principles
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
