Job summary

Kokolakis Contracting Inc is seeking a Quality Control Manager in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing the project quality control plan to ensure materials and workmanship meet contract requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing submittals, interpreting drawings, and coordinating with owners reps, A/E, and 3rd party testers. Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/CM, 10 years of construction, and a US PE or architect license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
• 10 years' construction experience on similar projects; 4 years as Quality Control Representative.
• PE registration or licensed architect in a US state.
• Procore software knowledge is a plus; CQM certification within 30 days of award.

Responsibilities

• Develop Quality Control Plan for submission.
• Review and approve submittals and work plans.
• Interpret drawings, specs, shop drawings, and submittals for contract compliance.
• Review RFIs and change orders; ensure work conforms with instructions.
• Schedule and conduct preparatory meetings; distribute minutes.
• Implement the Three Phase Quality Control procedures.
• Document inspections and issue reports.
• Maintain quality control logs and non-conformance logs.
• Inspect materials and workmanship for compliance.
• Draft punch lists and sign off corrections.
• Schedule and coordinate 3rd party testing and inspections.
