Job summary

Elanco Tiergesundheit AG in Clinton, IN seeks a Manager of Quality Control to lead a high-performing team and ensure the safety, productivity, and integrity of analytical results at our Clinton site.

You will advance long-term quality plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive customer-focused service across lab operations. This on-site role requires a science background and progressive leadership in QC/QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a science-related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Laboratory Operations.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, sourcing, and microbiology.
• Ability to manage complexity through strategic planning and tactical implementation.

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for QC operations to maximize laboratory capability.
• Lead and develop a team of 5-12 personnel, overseeing talent management and performance accountability.
• Oversee testing, inspection, and material release for manufacturing, packaging, and stability.
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships to meet customer needs while balancing compliance and operational productivity.
• Drive strategic planning and yearly objective setting to meet evolving quality standards.

Your Role: Manager, Quality Control

As the Manager of Quality Control, you will lead a high-performing team to ensure the safety, productivity, and integrity of analytical results at our Clinton site. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing long-term quality plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving excellence in customer service across lab operations.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and implement a clear strategic vision for QC operations to maximize laboratory capability and maintain a competitive edge. Lead and develop a team of 5-12 department personnel, overseeing talent management, bench strength, and performance accountability. Anticipate and prevent quality or regulatory issues by overseeing testing, inspection, and material release for manufacturing, packaging, and stability. Foster strong stakeholder relationships to ensure the delivery of customer needs while balancing compliance and operational productivity. Drive strategic planning and yearly objective setting to meet evolving business needs and quality standards.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Science-related field preferred). Experience: Progressive leadership experience with a demonstrated track record in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Laboratory Operations. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing, sourcing, and microbiology, with the ability to manage complexity through strategic planning and tactical implementation.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

Previous experience in people management within a regulated environment. Experience in Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) or Regulatory Affairs. Proven ability to lead change management and implement new processes in a GxP environment.
