Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to lead all aspects of quality assurance within our Packaging and Gas Turbine Manufacturing operations. You will drive improvements to ensure performance, safety, and compliance across the production lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing quality management, expertise in welding and turbine components, and proficiency with Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, and Minitab.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in quality management in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding techniques and gas turbine components.
  • Proficiency with Six Sigma, Lean, SPC and related quality tools.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, P&ID and F&ID diagrams.
  • Must be fluent in English and authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control strategies aligned with company goals and standards.
  • Lead cross-functional quality initiatives across manufacturing teams.
  • Monitor and improve QC processes for welding, machining, assembly, and testing of turbine components.
  • Ensure ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, and other standards compliance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA (8D, Fishbone, FMEA).
  • Manage supplier quality and warehouse oversight.
  • Maintain inspection records and report quality metrics to leadership.
  • Train and mentor quality inspectors and technicians.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Quality Control Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of quality control within our Packaging and Gas Turbine Manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in manufacturing processes, quality systems, and team leadership to drive continuous improvement across the production lifecycle.

Reports To: Director Quality

Work Location: 2001 Proenergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301

Position Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and implement quality control strategies aligned with company goals and industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional quality initiatives across Packaging and Gas Turbine teams.
Process Oversight
  • Monitor and improve quality control processes for welding, machining, assembly, and testing of turbine components.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, and other relevant standards.
Inspection & Testing
  • Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process checks / activities, calibrated equipment.
  • Manage nonconforming materials.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
  • Lead investigations into quality issues.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using tools like 8D, Fishbone, and FMEA.
Supplier Quality Management
  • Ensure supplier materials meet specifications and quality requirements.
  • Provide quality oversight into Warehouse activities.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and quality metrics.
  • Present quality performance data to leadership and recommend improvements.
Team Development
  • Train and mentor quality inspectors and technicians.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and analytical skills
  • 5+ Years’ Experience in Quality Management in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding techniques and gas turbine components.
  • Proficiency in quality tools: Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, Minitab, etc.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001.
  • Ability to competently read and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Flow and Instrumentation Diagrams (F&ID).
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
