Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of STO Building Group, seeks a Quality Control Manager to oversee construction quality on mission-critical projects such as data centers. You will implement project QC plans and coordinate inspections across CSA and MEP scopes, working with teams, trade partners, designers, and owners to support quality from preconstruction through turnover.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, with strong technical knowledge, judgment, and the ability to hold teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of construction quality control experience.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities (data centers) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, QA processes, and codes.
• Experience overseeing CSA and MEP quality coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans aligning with contract docs and Ajax standards.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and installation requirements to identify quality risks and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct inspections of CSA and MEP scopes including sitework, concrete, and building envelope.
• Coordinate with project teams to establish inspection/testing requirements, hold points, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead preparatory meetings and ongoing quality reviews to ensure consistent execution.
• Verify materials/equipment comply with submittals and are properly stored and installed.
• Coordinate testing with qualified agencies and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Maintain quality records, deficiency logs, and turnover documentation.
• Support commissioning readiness and defect tracking.
