Job summary

CRH’s Oldcastle Infrastructure division seeks a Quality Control Technician to perform routine material testing and monitor production in an industrial manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for compressive strength testing, product inspections, and reporting quality concerns.

The role requires a high school diploma, QC experience, and ability to lift 40 lbs; ACI/PCI certification is preferred or must be obtained within 3 months. Travel for trainings is occasional.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Quality control experience in related industry.
  • ACI/PCI Certification preferred, or pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification.
  • Basic computer and tablet skills.
  • Able to read/write simple instructions and communicate with team.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs periodically.
  • Some travel required for trainings and certifications (<10%).

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens.
  • Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products.
  • Monitor production operations as required.
  • Pipe patching and assisting pipe crew with strip, setup, and pouring of products.
  • Report to management on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns.
  • Oversee a small team of individuals.
  • Receive and file raw material reports for documentation.
  • Serve as contact for State DOT agencies, ACI, NPCA.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment. This individual will be performing routine tests as required on raw materials, in process components and final product.

Job Responsibilities

  • Some travel required for trainings and certifications (less than 10%)
