Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, is seeking a quality control professional for an industrial manufacturing environment. This union plant role involves routine testing on raw materials, in-process components, and final product, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

The position includes leading a small team, coordinating with DOT/ACI/NPCA, and maintaining quality systems and audits while contributing to safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Quality control experience in related industry preferred.
  • ACI/PCI Certification preferred, or ability to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification.
  • Basic computer and tablet skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Some travel required for trainings and certifications (<10%).

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens.
  • Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products.
  • Monitor production operations as required.
  • Report to management on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns.
  • Oversee team of 3-4 individuals.
  • Receive and file raw material reports for documentation.
  • Contact for State DOT, ACI, NPCA.
  • Ensure plant readiness for internal IQAP assessments and annual NPCA audits.
  • Participate and maintain all implementation of Krinkle apps for all assigned quality team members.
  • Maintain and implement all Oldcastle QSM (Quality System Manual) standards to comply with company policy.
  • Meet and maintain all DOT compliance as needed.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving and filing raw material reports for documentation
  • Contact for State DOT, ACI, NPCA

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have quality control experience in related industry
  • ACI / PCI Certification preferred, or required to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months and maintain certification

  • Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day
  • Some travel required for trainings and certifications (less than 10%)
