Job summary

Ferring Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to support daily QC laboratory activities, including donor source material inspections and review of send-out testing. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, in a GMP environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a scientific field (or an Associate's with GMP experience) and at least 1 year of relevant lab experience. Proficiency in MS Office and strong technical writing are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience in GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMP-lab tasks and inspect donor source material.
• Enter and review electronic data; manage source material scrapping.
• Review send-out documentation and prepare lab testing materials.
• Maintain lab supplies and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Escalate deviations and incidents as needed; ensure safety and quality.

The purpose of the Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician is to support the daily activities of the QC Laboratory. This includes but not limited to donor source material inspections, review of send out testing, laboratory testing preparations.

The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:00pm

Responsibilities

• Perform work in a GMP environment
• Perform daily source material inspections
• Electronic database entry and review activities
• Source material scrapping
• Daily review of pooled sample send-out documentation
• Laboratory testing preparation activities (e.g. saline conical tube preparation)
• Weekly laboratory cleaning
• Logging drug product samples received from Production
• Initiate laboratory incidents and deviations when necessary
• Lab supply inventory management and restocking
• Support equipment general maintenance activities
• Any other duties as assigned for business reasons

Education and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in scientific field including general lab experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a GMP environment

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $52,021 to $96,611, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
