Job summary

Streck in Nebraska is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor to lead a team of technicians and engineers across hematology, chemistry, molecular, body fluid, and flow cytometry instruments. You will supervise daily tasks, ensure regulatory and quality standards, and coach staff to improve performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training, onboarding, and collaboration with the Quality Control Manager to align departmental priorities with company goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising teams in ISO/FDA-regulated environments.
• Strong organizational, written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and evaluate direct reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule, and direct daily activities of a team of Quality Control Instrument and Service Technicians/Engineers.
• Serve as the technical go-to for instrument use across hematology, chemistry, molecular, body fluid, flow cytometry, and OEM equipment.
• Review and approve completed work ensuring regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Train, coach, and evaluate direct reports.
• Establish and maintain departmental protocols and lead process-improvement projects.
• Partner with the Quality Control Manager to translate goals into day-to-day priorities.
• Participate in recruiting and onboarding new team members.

Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, schedule, and direct the daily activities of a team of Quality Control Instrument and Service Technicians/Engineers.
• Serve as the technical go-to for instrument use and functionality across hematology, chemistry, molecular, body fluid, flow cytometry, and OEM equipment.
• Review and approve completed work within the Quality Control Instrument Lab, ensuring every task meets regulatory, safety, and quality expectations.
• Train, coach, and evaluate direct reports, building skills and verifying competency across the team.
• Establish and maintain departmental protocols, and lead process-improvement projects that enhance lab operations.
• Partner with the Quality Control Manager to translate organizational goals into day-to-day department priorities.
• Participate in recruiting and onboarding new team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's degree paired with applicable hands-on experience.
• Experience working in an ISO/FDA-regulated environment; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and a track record of dependability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and in person.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to pick up new tools as needed.
