Job summary

Innophos is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our Nashville, TN plant to perform all raw material, in-process, and finished product testing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities include daily calibration checks, running references, data entry into log books and LIMS, and preparing CoA releases for bulk shipments.

A Bachelor's in a scientific discipline (chemistry preferred) is required; prior QC experience is a plus.

Job description

Innophos is recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our Nashville, Tennessee chemical plant. The Lab Tech position is responsible for performing all raw material, in-process, and finished product testing for products produced at the Nashville plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing daily calibration checks
• Running references
• Entering data into log books, LIMS software programs
• Prepare and release CoA's for bulk shipments

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry
• Prior QC experience beneficial

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to comprehend and accurately perform analytical methods
• Possess a fundamental understanding of mathematics and understand the nature of analytical calculationsMust be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and LIMS software
• Must be able to:
• Safely handle corrosive and toxic chemicals
• Safely work alone when necessary
• Complete assignments in a timely fashion
• Maintain a clean work area
• Visually make color comparisons and identify the presence of foreign materials
• Interact professionally with supervisors/production employees in busy lab environment
• Use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab results
• Must have a good attendance record
• Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, weekends, holidays, and vacation relief

Environmental And/or Physical Requirements

• Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions
