Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC laboratory, oversee incoming sampling, and drive compliance with cGMP and cGLP across raw material, finished product, and stability testing. You will mentor chemists and analysts, ensuring data integrity and timely investigations.

The role requires strong leadership, quality systems knowledge, and experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline required.
• 5+ years industry laboratory experience preferred.
• 3+ years of Quality Control management experience.
• Experience leading a technical laboratory team in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on quality control and quality assurance in cGMP/cGLP settings.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems and change control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Control laboratory and incoming sampling to support operations and customer requirements.
• Provide day-to-day leadership for analytical, raw material, finished product, and stability testing.
• Coach and develop a team of chemists, microbiologists, analysts, and lab personnel.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with cGMP, cGLP, safety, quality, regulatory, and internal requirements.
• Maintain data integrity through robust documentation and training.
• Oversee laboratory quality systems, including SOP governance and CAPAs.
• Monitor QC performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to improve first-time-right results.
• Develop and execute laboratory capacity plans to support production and growth.
• Prepare for audits and support customer/regulatory inquiries.
