Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor to lead daily QC lab operations in Oak Ridge, TN, supporting Centrus Energy and DOE-related projects.

The role oversees wet chemistry, mechanical and analytical testing, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance while guiding a team of technicians and coordinating calibration activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QC laboratory work.
• Experience in wet chemistry, analytical techniques, and/or mechanical testing.
• Experience with calibration activities, troubleshooting equipment, and documentation control.
• Experience in a regulated environment (nuclear, aerospace, medical device).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass federal background check for DOE Q clearance (if required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily QC lab operations and ensure testing is accurate, safe and compliant.
• Manage a team of laboratory technicians, providing coaching, training and performance guidance.
• Perform handson testing when needed, troubleshoot analytical issues, and communicate results with engineering, production, and QC teams.
• Ensure equipment readiness, coordinate calibrations, and maintain documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and updating laboratory procedures.
