OSP Inspectors Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Field Quality Control Inspector to join our field operations. You will perform daily inspections at residential construction sites to verify quality, safety, and compliance with codes and client requirements.

This role requires outdoor work across multiple locations in Florida, strong reading of drawings, accurate reporting, and timely communication with project managers. Travel between sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in field inspections for construction or utility work.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications.
• Comfortable working outdoors and walking sites daily in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Detail-oriented with proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections at residential job sites to verify quality and compliance.
• Inspect trenching, conduit installation, grounding, mounting, and equipment placement.
• Ensure contractors adhere to specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Document inspection findings with field notes, reports, and photos.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate corrective actions to the team.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and utility reps to resolve field issues.
• Ensure proper use and handling of materials and equipment on-site.
• Maintain organized records of inspections and communications.
• Travel between job sites as required.

Job Overview

This role involves walking residential construction sites to ensure all work meets established quality standards and complies with client and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction inspections and a strong understanding of residential building practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections at residential job sites to verify that work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Inspect construction activities such as trenching, conduit installation, grounding, structural mounting, and equipment placement
• Ensure contractors adhere to approved specifications, codes, and client requirements
• Document inspection findings using detailed field notes, reports, and photo documentation
• Identify deficiencies or deviations and communicate corrective actions to the appropriate team
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and utility representatives to resolve issues in the field
• Ensure proper use and handling of materials and equipment on-site
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all inspections and communications
• Travel between job sites as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in field inspection, construction, or utility-related work (OSP/telecom/electrical a plus)
• Strong understanding of residential construction processes and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and specifications
• Comfortable working outdoors and walking sites daily in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
