Job summary

Ascendo Resources seeks a Quality Control Associate to conduct inspections and uphold product quality across manufacturing. You will interpret drawings, perform first article and in-process checks, verify supplier materials, and document inspection results to support continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, accurate data recording, and collaboration with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience.
• ISO-regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel (Microsoft Office/MS365).
• Experience using handheld precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, Pi tapes, height gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specs, and dimensional requirements.
• Strong attention to detail; able to inspect, document, and communicate findings.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and comparisons.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred; familiarity with manufacturing environments.
• Experience in a growing or small-company manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, blueprints, specs to perform dimensional and visual inspections.
• Conduct first article, incoming, in-process, and final inspections with supervision.
• Inspect supplier materials during receiving for compliance with specs.
• Perform scheduled and ad hoc quality inspections across production areas.
• Collect, record, maintain, and report inspection data and quality documentation.
• Verify calibration status of measurement equipment and keep records current.
• Identify, document, and share nonconforming materials per procedures.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation including alerts and reports.
• Communicate quality concerns and deviations to Team Leads or Supervisors.
• Support safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements with teams.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and train others as needed.
• Foster relationships with coworkers and contribute to continuous improvement.
