Job summary

Hamilton-Ryker is seeking an inspector at the Dodson Branch to inspect, test and weigh materials and parts for defects, ensuring conformance to specifications. You will discard non-conforming items and mark grades or status, using calipers, micrometers and rulers to verify measurements.

Responsibilities include reading inspection sheets and product images, interpreting in-process verification steps, and assisting teammates with fixtures and inspection paperwork in a collaborative environment.

• Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.
• Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications.
• Mark items with details, such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
• Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
• Understand and interpret all steps of in-process part verification
