Job summary

Thales Defense & Security, Inc. in Clarksburg, MD is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for the 1st shift. The role inspects electrical and mechanical assemblies to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards, with ERP system interaction and strong attention to quality. Training may precede shift change.

Eligible candidates possess a high school diploma, U.S. citizenship, fluent English, and 2–4+ years of related experience. Competitive benefits and 9/80 schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required and candidate must be eligible for access to classified information.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• High school diploma required
• 2–4+ years' experience in quality, manufacturing or related technical environment
• Experience inspecting electrical and mechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of IPC standards
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications required
• Ability to read and understand technical data documentation
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4 Hana is a plus
• Computer literate

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical assemblies per IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Inspect mechanical assemblies per technical documentation.
• Work unsupervised while performing inspections.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Interface with ERP system.
• Communicate non-conforming material status.
• Interface with Quality Engineering for problem resolution and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to company guidelines and core values.
