Job summary

IPG Photonics Corporation, including its IPG Medical subsidiary in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing by performing incoming inspections and reviewing documentation for conformity. You will help ensure GMP and quality practices across the facility and assist in calibration activities and audits.

The role requires 1–3 years in a quality function, familiarity with ISO13485 and CFR 21-820, and strong Word/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in a Quality role (medical device preferred).
• Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ISO13485, ISO14644, and CFR 21-820.
• Experience with QMS, PLM and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of materials and documentation.
• Review DHRs with release of finished goods.
• Maintain GMP and documentation practices.
• Assist engineers with calibration activities.
• Participate in internal/external audit preparation.
• Support in CAPAs / NCRs to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of materials and receiving documentation for conformity to specifications.
• Support manufacturing operations through timely review of DHR's with release of finished goods.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices
• Assist Quality Engineers and manufacturing personnel in the execution of calibration activities including review and retrieval of calibrated equipment for processing
• Positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, contractors and vendors
• Assist in both internal and external audit preparation
• Participate in NCMRs / CAPA's to better improve company practices and systems
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Additional training in Quality and/or a focus in medical device preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Quality role (medical device preferred, other regulated industries considered).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Understanding of ISO13485, ISO14644, and CFR 21-820.
• User experience of QMS, PLM and CMMS systems.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read drawings and prints.

Wage Information

MA: $19.59 - $22.77/hr

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
