Medline is hiring a QC Inspector I to ensure product quality and safety in manufacturing or distribution environments. You will inspect materials, components, and finished products, perform visual and measurement tests, document findings, and report defects. Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Responsibilities include using tools to verify dimensions, identifying non-conformities, and collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions and document outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail with strong observational skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform conversions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in PPE.
• Willingness to work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products; document results.
• Use measurement tools to verify dimensions.
• Identify defects and report non-conformities.
• Collaborate with teams to address quality issues and dispositions.
• Assist in developing and implementing QC procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assess damaged inbound stock and repackage.
• Support inventory checks, recalls, deviations, relabeling, and rework.
• Operate powered material handling equipment if required.
• Read instructions, blueprints, and documents.
• Comply with SOPs, Quality Systems, OSHA and Medline rules.

Job Summary

The QC Inspector I will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of products in either manufacturing or distribution environments. Responsible for inspecting materials, components, and/or finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards. This role involves conducting visual and measurement tests, documenting findings, and reporting any defects or discrepancies. This role will work closely with production or distribution teams to identify and resolve quality issues, contributing to the overall improvement of processes. Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process items, and/or finished products. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Use measurement tools and equipment to test and verify product dimensions and specifications.
• Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
• Collaborate with respective production or distribution teams to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, or determine disposition of product.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Assess inbound damaged finished goods and repackage.
• Support various tasks including inventory stock checks, recall stock verifications, handling deviations, relabeling, product rework, pedigree verification, and other assigned projects
• May be required to operate powered material handling equipment.
• Read and interpret instructions, blueprints, and other documents.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Systems, OSHA guidelines, and Medline’s rules and regulations.

• Typically requires High School Diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Attention to details.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction and fractional to decimal conversions.
• Position requires:
• Working in hot and cold environments.
• Sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods, with frequent twisting and bending.
• Working in PPE or company issued gowns for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to prioritize quickly in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to process all relevant details, understanding and prioritizing their importance and drawing concise conclusions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to apply basic knowledge of quality regulations such as GMP, GDP, ISO, or 21CFR 820, 210 - 211.

The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position

$18.50 - $26.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
