Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks a Quality Control / Inspection Specialist to oversee planning-phase inspections, including duct and trench inspections, mandrelling, and structure inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires three years of QC/inspection experience, a valid Class C license, and strong communication, leadership and teamwork abilities. It offers a hybrid work mode in California with potential travel across the SCE service area.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in quality control/inspection.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Experience with blueprint reading and construction.
• Familiarity with electrical panels.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize a heavy workload.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of residential tract and developer substructure installations and maintain inspection records.
• Support timely, efficient inspections while preserving customer satisfaction.
• Measure locations, record deviations, create as-built drawings, report status.
• Verify materials meet specs, codes, standards, and regulatory guides.
• Monitor contractor crews for safe, productive, quality work; liaise with internal and external parties.
• Lead preconstruction meetings to discuss quality issues with subcontractors and superintendent.
• Ensure warranty corrections are completed; inspect for safety and quality.
• Foster a safety-conscious environment following Edison protocols.
• Review and track assigned work scopes and changes at field level.
• Coordinate project changes with internal/external customers per design/policies.
• Protect company assets and handle sensitive data with integrity.
