Quality Control Inspector

JOB PURPOSE

The Quality Control Inspector establishes direction and adheres to the strategic vision for Palmetto State Armory’s Quality Programs and Initiatives. This position will work closely with the Quality Control Supervisor to ensure that we are providing a quality product to our customers, implement changes, and be able to maintain accurate and consistent production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage Production Order verification and documentation to verify incoming product accuracy and quality.
• Assist in implementing and improving quality system. Record defects for production corrections.
• Inspect firearms of all variations and types to meet production levels.
• Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all workstations are 5s/lean.
• Manage constraints to meet production.
• Ensure that Inspection materials are restocked at the end of shift.
• All other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an operational warehouse environment. While performing regular duties, this position is exposed to various chemicals and solvents. May require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. The Quality Control Inspector must be able to work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Working conditions include but are not limited to; sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting requirements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or less regularly. Cleaning material and chemicals used regularly.
