Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Quality Control Inspector in Toledo, OH. The position offers a 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM shift with pay between $21.00 and $23.00 per hour. A high school diploma or GED is required, and 2–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and strong math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and calibrate NDT equipment for production inspections.
  • Inspect welds using microscopes and other quality inspection equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections on parts before and after E-coat processes.
  • Review weld maps and verify products meet specifications.
  • Document non-conformances (NCRs) and communicate findings to production and engineering teams.
  • Accurately complete quality reports and inspection records.
  • Support continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Experience Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
Job Duties
  • Operate, set up, and calibrate NDT equipment for production inspections
  • Inspect welds using microscopes and other quality inspection equipment
  • Perform visual inspections on parts before and after E-coat processes
  • Review weld maps and verify products meet specifications
  • Document non-conformances (NCRs) and communicate findings to production and engineering teams

Physical Capabilities
  • Lift up to 30 pounds as needed
  • Stand and walk for most of the shift
  • Bend, crouch, reach, and inspect parts throughout the workday
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
  • Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, sleeves, pants, and gloves
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Control Inspector.
