Job summary

XP Power in High Bridge, NJ, designs high-voltage power solutions for critical applications. The Quality Control Inspector ensures every component, assembly, and finished product meets rigorous quality and reliability standards.

You will inspect materials, assemblies, and finished products, document findings, and collaborate across Production, Engineering, Test, Materials, and Quality teams to drive continual improvements in quality and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or quality inspection preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials, PC boards, and sheet metal.
  • Inspect PC board and harness assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Perform final inspection after test and burn-in before shipping.
  • Enter reject information into the computer and print rework travelers.
  • Move orders to the next department as required.

Job Description

At XP Power's High Bridge, New Jersey facility, we design and manufacture high-voltage and high-power power conversion solutions that are used in critical applications across the semiconductor manufacturing, healthcare, and industrial technology sectors. Our products help customers safely and reliably convert and control electrical power in some of the world's most demanding equipment and systems.The Quality Control Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that every component, assembly, and finished product meets XP Power's quality and reliability standards. By inspecting incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and completed products before shipment, this position helps prevent defects, supports customer satisfaction, and ensures that products perform safely and reliably in critical end-use applications. In this role, you will be inspecting:

  • Incoming materials (PC boards, sheet metal, etc.)
  • PC board and harness assemblies (manydifferenttypes)
  • Finalassemblies(assembledpowersupplies)
  • Perform FinalInspection(afterTestand Burn-in,beforeshipping)
  • Inspectmaterialordersonyourdailyassignmentsheet,usingBOMsandassemblydrawings
  • EnterRejectinformationintocomputer,printreworktravelerandreturnordertoassemblerand/or doMove transactions as required to move order to next department

Workhoursare:

DayShift:7:00amto3:30pm,Half-hour unpaid lunch

Qualifications
  • High school dimploma or equivalent
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related technical field
  • Knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, quality control methodologies, and good manufacturing practices preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings, explain quality concerns, and collaborate effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with individuals at all levels of the organization and across a variety of work styles and personalities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify potential quality issues, and make sound decisions independently
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, inspection criteria, and quality standards
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inspection, documentation, and compliance activities
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to actively engage in the quality process by identifying improvement opportunities and contributing ideas that enhance product quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Test, Materials, and Quality teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing or quality-related systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
