Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Ability to identify, document, and communicate non-conformances.
• Must pass ITAR background requirements (U.S. Person status).
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing detailed dimensional and visual inspections to ensure all parts meet engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role requires solid experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing, strong GD&T interpretation skills, and strict adherence to ITAR and AS9100 quality system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Dimensional & Visual Inspection Inspect machined components and assemblies using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other instruments.
• GD&T & Blueprint Interpretation Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product conformity.
• Documentation & Reporting Record inspection results, complete required documentation, and report non-conformances in accordance with AS9100 procedures.
• Quality System Compliance Support Support AS9100 quality processes, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance Follow ITAR requirements, maintain secure handling of controlled materials, and comply with all company and federal regulations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and ensure product quality.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of Quality Control Inspection experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Ability to identify, document, and communicate non-conformances.
• Must be able to pass ITAR background requirements (U.S. Person status required, as defined by ITAR (22 CFR 120.15).
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
• Familiarity with inspection documentation such as First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102.
• Experience in defense, aerospace machining, or similar regulated industries.
